ABOUT US

The Australian Casino Association was formed in 1992 to represent to represent the interests of the Australian casino industry. In 2008 the Association changed its name to the Australasian Casino Association to better represent its membership. The membership of the Association today consists of the thirteen casinos that operate in Australia. Our New Zealand members consist of SKYCITY Entertainment Group, Christchurch Casino and Lasseters Queenstown.

The Association represents the casino industry at a government and a community level. At the national level the Association addresses those legislative and regulatory issues which impact on the casino industry, including taxation, regulatory and tourism related issues. The Association provides a national approach to issues concerning the casino industry, and promotes the industry as a leader in regulatory standards and compliance. The Association also champions an industry wide approach in the development of responsible gambling practices.

The Association meets quarterly, with all members represented by the CEO or a representative of each casino. An Executive Committee consisting of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Honorary Secretary administer the Association while the Executive Director of the ACA is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation.
